Emergency First Response
Emergency First Response (EFR) is the fastest-growing international CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training organization. Dedicated to training the lay rescuer, EFR courses encompasses adult, child and infant CPR skills, provides AED and First Aid training, and feature an outstanding First Aid at Work component.
Many divers take the Emergency First Response courses to meet program prerequisites, such as PADI Rescue Diver, or as preparation for becoming a PADI Divemaster. However, most have also found the EFR program to be important in every day life. They have taken a significant step in emergency preparedness, and feel confident that they can provide care should an emergency situation arise.
The Emergency First Response program meets requirements for CPR and First Aid in the workplace (OSHA Guideline 29 CFR 1910.151), and incorporates the latest procedures for emergency patient care. Other organizations that recognize EFR as meeting their requirements are United States Coast Guard, The Boy Scouts of America, and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), to name a few.

PADI SEMI CLOSED REBREATHER DIVER
Rebreathers are another form of SCUBA and believe it or not have a longer history than our conventional open circuit scuba equipment. the benefits of diving on a rebreather include:
Longer dives due to gas consumption no longer being dictated by personal breathing rate and depth.
Due to the exothermic reaction in the carbon dioxide scrubber you are breathing warm gas so your temperature retention is greatly improved.
Another biproduct of the reaction is moisture so the gas is no longer dry therefore no more cotton mouth feeling.
Due to the gas requirement reduction the cylinder is typically a 5 litre therefore the unit is much lighter in weight. as an example that size cylinder would give you TWO dives to 20m for 50 minutes and still leave a 50 bar reserve!!
PADI DPV. (scooter)
On this course you will learn the techniques and procedures for diving with a DPV. A DPV drastically reduces your air consumption during a dive, you will also cover a much larger area, this reduction in gas consumption will greatly increase your bottom time so this is an excellent course to compliment Enriched air nitrox diving.
During the course you will be familiarised with common DPV constuction, you will also cover care and maintenance for your DPV. you will also be aquainted with the emergency procedures should a DPV malfunction.
PADI Boat Diver
You can learn the techniques and procedures for diving from different types of boats. The more boats you're diving from, the more diving you're doing.
As part of your PADI Boat Diver Specialty course, you'll learn about:
- Boat diving planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards
- Proper boat diving etiquette, including equipment storage and conduct
- Common boat terminology
- Specific and local boat diving laws and ordinances
- Overview of emergency and safety equipment needed on- private dive boats
PADI Deep Diver
The Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime - going deep to see thing others can only dream about.
You'll learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards. You'll also put this knowledge to the test as you go on open water dives that will reach 40 metres.
PADI Enriched Air Diver
Enriched Air Diver allows you to:
- Stay underwater longer
- Get back into the water sooner
- Get your certification while simultaneously completing dives for other PADI courses
Plus, by diving with Enriched Air you may feel less tired on your vacation.
How much more time can I be underwater? For example, if you dive to 15 metres on air, your no decompression limit is 80 minutes. But, diving on EANx Nitrox 36 gets you 220 minutes of no decompression time - an increase of 140 minutes! It's perfect for underwater photographers, wreck divers and anyone who wants to stay down longer.
PADI Multilevel Diver
You'll learn what multilevel diving is and why you want to plan for multilevel dives. You'll also get to see the various types of multilevel dive calculators (including the Recreational Dive Planner, Wheel version and dive computers), as well as learn about multilevel dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques, and potential problems.
PADI Night Diver
When you go night diving you'll see a whole new world. Even your local dive site takes on a new personality at night, as many underwater creatures and plant life (different from those you see during the day) are active at night.
Peak Performance Buoyancy
If you want to fine-tune your buoyancy and soar over reefs, extend bottom time by reducing air consumption and prolong the life of your dive equipment, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is for you.
During your Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course you will practice the fundamentals of buoyancy control during two open water dives, including the buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, streamlining and visualization.

PSAI Technical Courses
Technial diving is generally considered as diving deeper than 40m or where direct access to the surface is not possible due to physical barriers or an artificial barrier created by a formal decompression requirement, this type of diving utilises the following:
- Modern decompression theories.
- More extensive equipment.
- More complex techniques.
- The possibility of using a fully closed rebreather which amalgamates all of the above and requires a good level of discipline.
The courses are provided by PSAI. the Professional Scuba Association International (PSAI) was the first internationally recognised agency to establish training guidelines for extended range recreational diving, what has now become known as technical diving.
Course List
Advanced Nitrox and Decompression procedures
This course examines the use of EAN21 (Air) through to EAN100 (Oxygen) for optimal mixes to a maximum depth of 45 metres. Within this course the professional also examines the theory, methods and procedures of planning stage decompression diving.
Extended Range Diver
This course provides the training and experience required for dives up to 55 metres that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression. There is also an introduction to the use of Helium although the student will not be qualified to use Helium.
Trimix Diver Level I
This course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 metres. This course may be undertaken in the equipment of choice based on prior qualification.
Trimix Diver Level II (Expedition Level)
This additional experience level assesses the experience and performance of the Trimix Diver and following successful assessment dives to within 3 metres of a target depth may be awarded a rating maximum of 75 metres in conditions similar to or better than the assessment conditions. In cases where there is documented proof of prior experience the Professional Instructor may combine level 1 and 2. This may be undertaken in the equipment of choice based on prior qualification.
Trimix Diver Level III (Explorer Level)
This additional experience level assesses the experience and performance of the Level 2 Trimix Diver and following successful assessment dives to a maximum of 100 metres in conditions similar to or better than the assessment conditions. Proof of successful involvement within the structure of well-run expeditions and an additional season's diving to build experience are typical of documented experience requirement. This may be undertaken in the equipment of choice based on prior qualification.
Closed Circuit Rebreather
This is an entry level certification course for qualified Advanced nitrox / Decompression Procedures divers wishing to utilise air diluent fixed and variable partial pressure oxygen closed circuit rebreathers to a maximum depth of 45 metres. By virtue of the decompression procedures qualification decompression dives can be undertaken once the diver is qualified.
Mixed Gas Closed Rebreather
This is a progression level certification course for qualified rebreather divers wishing to utilise gases other than air or nitrox with a rebreather initially to 60 & 75 metres then to a maximum depth of 100 msw. The statements for Trimix Level 1, 2 and 3 will apply.
Gas Blender / Advanced Gas Blender
This course enables the successful candidate to engage in the preparation of high quality diving gases for both Nitrox and more advanced, mixed gas diving. This course may be split to cover Nitrox or Mixed Gas to suit the students capability or requirement.
Oxygen Service Technician
This course is designed for the scuba service technician who desires to be quaified to properly prepare scuba equipment for use with elevate oxygen mixtures and pure oxygen. This is not a repair course, but rather a course for manufacturer certified technician. The proper precautions and procedures are discussed and explained as are the proer materials necessary for oxygen preparation.
