Playa de la Barilla
A protected cove with easy access from the beach. With guaranteed heaps of fish.
Ideal for beginners, photographers and shallow water divers.
This bay makes a fantastic site for night diving.
The Cathedral
Formed during the volcanic eruptions this large cavern is encrusted with soft corals on the walls and ceiling. The depth at the entrance reaches over 30m but then slopes gently up to the back of the cavern revealing a shimmering image as fresh water meets salt forming a halocline at the rear of the cavern. Things to see are Large Grouper, Moray eels and Rays.
On the return journey above the Cathedral you can swim through the bubble fields, created by your exhaled air trapped against the roof of the cavern. This air then filters up through the sand and on towards the surface.
The Blue Hole
As you can see from the photograph, the view from below gives the dive site its name.
The top of the hole is at approx 25m and drops to about 35m. A torch is recommended to get the most from this dive.
Things to see are Great Barracuda, Large Grouper, Angel shark and Sting Rays.
The Rabat Wreck - Boat Dive
Just outside the port of Arrecife. Descend down the anchor line, to find the impressive wreck of the Rabat, a large tuna trawler that lies at a depth of over 30m.
Intact and lying on its port side the Rabat still has its large propeller and other pieces of equipment attached. This wreck offers the chance of some penetration for the suitably qualified diver.
Lots of debris scattered around on the sea bed, and plenty of fish life like Barracuda and Jacks, makes this a great dive.
Los Erizos Wrecks - Boat Dive
These wrecks can be found in the harbour of Puerto del Carmen, just a few minutes boat trip from the jetty.
A descent down the permanent line to 12m will find an old trawler, the first of the several wrecks at this site. The rest of the wrecks sit at over 30m and because of their age of around 20 years, are broken but no less interesting.
Containing about 8 wrecks you need to dive this site a few times to fully explore the whole area. Barracuda, Jacks, Tuna and rays can regularly be seen on this dive. The top wreck allows some penetration for the suitably qualified.
Punta Tinosa Wrecks - Boat Dive
Two old fishing boats sunk for the use of divers, and as an artificial reef. Using the anchor line from the dive boat, you will find the first at 18m and the other at 22m.
Although sunk recently it proves to be a most enjoyable dive with lots of fish activity. The wrecks allow some penetration for the suitably qualified.

The Temple Hall Wreck
Nice shallow dive to a maximum of 12m. As you can see from the photo the whole of the stern is out of the water, and the bow section makes up the dive.
A good atmospheric dive well suited to Wreck specialties. Also great, for newly qualified divers.
Harbour Wall
From the jetty wall into 4m and gradually descend to about 22m.
This is a fantastic dive with every opportunity to see anything from tiny vividly coloured nudibranchs to Angel Sharks, Cuttlefish and sometimes, a Seahorse or two.
Fabulous site for night diving.
Pink Coral
Follow the reef to find the rare pink coral that has made its home inside an alcove formed by cooling volcanic lava.
Large shoals of small fish such as sardines frequent this dive site.
Mala
Breathtaking scenery and fascinating geological formations, caverns and swim throughs. Famous for its bigger fish like angel sharks, different types of rays and moray eels.
A totally different type of dive site which, can only be fully appreciated by being there!!
